Got this recipe from my mother-in-law. It is one of my husbands favorite pies.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice, fresh
  • 3 - egg yolks, reserve whites
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 8 ounces coolwhip
  • 1 - graham cracker pie crust

How To Make lemon ice box pie

  • Step 1
    Separate eggs and whip yolks
  • Step 2
    add condensed milk. Add lemon juice slowly and make sure to combine well (the lemon juice will cook the egg yolks)
  • Step 3
    Fold in cool whip and pour into graham cracker crust
  • Step 4
    Whip egg whites into meringue. Put meringue on top of pie.
  • Step 5
    Place pie into oven on low heat to brown the meringue. Let pie sit until cool and then place into the refrigerator.
