A neighbor gentleman gave me this recipe many years ago, and it is family favorited, tastes great and easy to make.

Ingredients
- 3 - egg yolks (hold whites off to side)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon butter (or margarine)
- 3 - egg whites
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
How To Make lemon custard pie

Step 1Beat egg yolks

Step 2Add: sugar, lemon juice, flour and butter, stirring to blend

Step 3Beat egg whites till stiff, then fold into lemon mixture

Step 4Pour into unbaked pie crust (8 inch deep dish pie plate)

Step 5Bake slowly, 350 degrees, until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Check at 45 min...and keep checking every 10 min, till done. (each oven varies)
