Very simple,southern favorite. I like lemons,so I adapted it with extra lemon juice cause it perks up your mouth. :)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest, grated
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup lemon juice, fresh
- 1 stick butter, melted and cooled
- 1 - unbaked pie crust
How To Make lemon chess pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl,combine the sugar,cornstarch and lemon zest.Whick in the eggs,1 at a time.Stir in the lemon juice and butter and blend thoroughly

Step 2Pour the egg mixture into the pie shell and bake until the top is lightly browned and the center sets,20-25 minutes.

Step 3Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature. Slice and serve.
