If it's lemon, you can bet my fork will be in it!! There is just something about that fruit that makes my mouth water. I love LEMON.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 - eggs, separated
  • - juice of 2 lemons
  • 1/4 cup lemon rind
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 - 9" unbaked pie shell

How To Make lemon cake pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Combine: sugar, flour, butter, salt and eggyolks Beat well Add lemon juice and peel Add milk, beating slowly Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry, fold in to mixture
  • Step 2
    Bake pie shell for 5 minutes Ladle lemon pie mixture into shell and bake 40 to 50 minutes or until filling is set Makes 6 to 8 servings
