Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups pecan halves
  • FOR A HOMEMADE CRUST
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • - 1/3 cup plus 1 tbsp lard (yes i said lard) it will make the best tasting and flakiest crust you've ever had
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

How To Make kim's pecan pie

  • Step 1
    preheat oven to 350 degrees. make pie crust. I make mine in a food processor. Add flour, salt, sugar, and lard. Pulse until it is crumbly. add the water all at one time and keep on till it forms a ball. Roll it out on a lightly floured surface and put it in the pie plate.
  • Step 2
    mix all ingredients together and pour into pie crust.
  • Step 3
    bake for 45 minutes
