My grandparents lived in Key West when they were first married in the early 50's. My grandmother kept this recipe, which she always made sure to tell us was an "authentic Key West Key Lime Pie recipe." :) It doesn't have meringue or whipped cream, although adding a dollop of whipped cream makes it even more delicious!

Ingredients
- 4 - eggs, separated
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/3 cup key lime juice
- 1 - pie shell, baked
How To Make key lime pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Beat the four egg yolks and the white of one egg until thick.

Step 3Add the condensed milk and beat again.

Step 4Add the lime juice and beat until thick.

Step 5In a separate bowl, beat the remaining egg whites until dry and fold into mixture.

Step 6Pour into the baked pie shell and cook 20-30 minutes until set.
