Key Lime Pie

My grandparents lived in Key West when they were first married in the early 50's. My grandmother kept this recipe, which she always made sure to tell us was an "authentic Key West Key Lime Pie recipe." :) It doesn't have meringue or whipped cream, although adding a dollop of whipped cream makes it even more delicious!

4eggs, separated

1 can(s)sweetened condensed milk

1/3 ckey lime juice

1pie shell, baked
How to Make Key Lime Pie
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat the four egg yolks and the white of one egg until thick.
- Add the condensed milk and beat again.
- Add the lime juice and beat until thick.
- In a separate bowl, beat the remaining egg whites until dry and fold into mixture.
- Pour into the baked pie shell and cook 20-30 minutes until set.
