I found this recipe years ago and in it's original form has frozen lemonade concentrate.

I've created my own version by adding limeade, lime juice and lime peel. The lime juice and peel add great flavor and an extra kick. It's easy to change up the ingredient to make your own citrus pie. Orange juice concentrate would probably make another great version of this recipe.

This is a very refreshing dessert for the hot summer months.

graham cracker or shortbread crust
2 c
vanilla ice cream, softened
6 oz
can limeade, thawed
1 Tbsp
key lime juice
1/2 tsp
lime peel, grated
8 oz
whipped topping, thawed


1Mix softened ice cream, limeade, key lime juice and lime peel until well combined. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into pie shell, garnish with lime peel. Freeze 4 hours before serving.
