karla's banana cream pie

Ingredients
- 3 - egg yolks ; beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 cups scalded milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 - ripe banana's ; sliced
How To Make karla's banana cream pie

Step 1In a small sauce pan heat milk up , just to the point of boiling but DON'T BOIL.

Step 2Beat the eggs in the top of a double boiler pan. To the beaten egg yolks , beat in the sugar , salt , cornstarch and butter and scalded milk.

Step 3Cook over boiling water in a double broiler pan until thick ; stirring constantly ; remove from the heat and add the vanilla and sliced banana's.

Step 4Pour into cookie crumb crust and chill.
