jack's chocolate pecan pie

My husbands favorite sweets are dark chocolate and pecan pie. His favorite drink is Jack Daniel's whiskey. This is what I make for him and only him for our holiday celebrations or just because. He does share it with me LOL!! It is soooo darn yummy!

Ingredients

  • 1 - pie crust shell, deep dish ( i use frozen)
  • 4 large eggs or 3 extra large eggs
  • 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecan halves, divided
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips, divided ( i use ghiradelli )

How To Make jack's chocolate pecan pie

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugars, syrup, whiskey, butter, and salt until blended. Stir in 1 1/2 cup pecan halves and 3/4 cup chocolate chips. Pour filling into crust; sprinkle with remaining pecans and chocolate chips. Bake at 325 dF for 50-60 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is puffed. Cool completely on a wire rack.
