Jack's Chocolate Pecan Pie
This is what I make for him and only him for our holiday celebrations or just because. He does share it with me LOL!!
It is soooo darn yummy!
1pie crust shell, deep dish ( i use frozen)
4 largeeggs or 3 extra large eggs
1 cpacked dark brown sugar
1/2 cdark corn syrup
2 Tbspbutter, melted
2 cpecan halves, divided
1 cbittersweet chocolate chips, divided ( i use ghiradelli )
How to Make Jack's Chocolate Pecan Pie
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs, sugars, syrup, whiskey, butter, and salt until blended. Stir in 1 1/2 cup pecan halves and 3/4 cup chocolate chips. Pour filling into crust; sprinkle with remaining pecans and chocolate chips. Bake at 325 dF for 50-60 minutes or until crust is golden brown and filling is puffed. Cool completely on a wire rack.
