A delicious recipe dating back to the 1920s. It is so great to have a recipe make it from generation to generation! NOTE THE PIE PICTURED HAS A THIN MERINGUE TOPPING. I am not one for meringue.

Ingredients
- 1 cup toasted slivered almonds
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3 - eggs slightly beating
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 9 - inch unbaked pie shell

Step 1PREHEAT OVEN TO 375

Step 2Blend all ingredients except crust in a mixing bowl. pour into pie shell. Bake 40 to 50 minutes, until crust is set and filling is golden. Let cool at least 2 hours before cutting.
