homemade pumpkin pie...

I love to bake homemade pies for holidays. This is my go to recipe for pumpkin pies. Also it is the recipe my mother past down to me.I could be a already made store bought pie but nothing beats a homemade fresh pie of any kind any day of the week....

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 3/4 cups pumpkin, canned or cooked
  • 2 - eggs-beaten
  • 1 3/4 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 - pie crust shell

How To Make homemade pumpkin pie...

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 425F. In lager bowl sift all the dry ingredients together. In medium bowl combine all the wet ingredients with the pumpkin & mix well. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet & mix well. Pour all but 1 cup full into the pie crust, place in the hot oven & then add in the last cup. Bake for about 40 to 45 mins. The center of the pie might still have a little liquid, gently shake so it will be observed.
