Ingredients

  • 5 cups
    all purpose flour
  • 1 t
    baking powder
  • 2 eggs
    slightly beaten
  • 1 t
    salt
  • 1 t
    sugar
  • 1 cup
    crisco oil
  • 13 oz
    can evaporated milk

How to Make Homemade Fried Apple Pies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cut shortening into dry ingredients.mix eggs and milk together then add to first mixture.mix with fork till it holds together (no more).roll out rather thin. cut out small rounds using a small saucer as pattern.
  2. put a spoonful of your favorite fruit pie filling on one side.be sure your filling is fairly thick and cool.fold over and seal edges well.
  3. fry in deep fat until golden brown on both sides .
