Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick), melted
  • FILLING:
  • 1/4 cup instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 3 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 6 tablespoons irish whiskey
  • 6 tablespoons kahlua
  • - shaved chocolate, garnish, optional

  • Step 1
    For crust. Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Step 2
    Combine crumbs and butter in small bowl.
  • Step 3
    Press into 9-inch pie plate.
  • Step 4
    Bake until set, about 8 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Cool completely.
  • Step 6
    For filling; Dissolve coffee in water.
  • Step 7
    Combine all ingredients except garnish and beat on medium speed until mixture holds peaks.
  • Step 8
    Pour all but 1/2 cup into crust, spreading evenly.
  • Step 9
    Spoon remaining filling into pastry bag fitted with rosette tip and pipe frill around rim.
  • Step 10
    Garnish with shaved chocolate.
  • Step 11
    Chill thoroughly, 4 hours or overnight.
  • Step 12
    Serve chilled.
