My sister gave me this recipe and we love it. It's simple and makes two.

Ingredients

  • 1 20 0z.
    can crushed pineapple-do not drain
  • 4
    ripe bananas
  • 1- 6 0z.
    package frozen coconut
  • 1 c.
    sugar
  • 2
    baked pie shells
  • 1 c.
    chopped pecans
  • 6-8 tsp
    flour
  • ·
    cool whip, optional

How to Make Hawaiian Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix pineapple, sugar and flour.
  2. Cook over low heat until thick.
  3. Cut bananas in slices and arrange in cooked pie shells.
  4. Sprinkle coconut and nuts over bananas.
  5. Pour pineapple mixture over all. Top with Cool Whip if desired. This is one of my favorite pies. Makes two pies.
