This recipe is from an episode with Paula Deen. Pumpkin pie used to be my son's favorite until he tried this one. It is amazing!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup quick cooking grits
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3 medium eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
- - sweetened whipped cream
How To Make grits pie

Step 1Pre heat oven to 325 degrees. Combine water & salt, bring to a boil. Add the grits & cook for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the butter; cook for 1 additional minute. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 2Combine sugar, flour, eggs, buttermilk & vanilla. Slowly stir into the cooled grits. Pour into pie shell and bake for 35-40 minutes or until set.

Step 3Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
