Ingredients

  • ·
    pastry for 9 inch 2 crust pie
  • 4 c
    apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 c
    seedless red grapes
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 c
    raspberry preserves
  • 2 Tbsp
    quick cooking tapioca
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated orange peel
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 dash(es)
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter

How to Make Grape Apple Berry Pie

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Prepare pie crust.
  3. In large bowl, combine all ingredients, except butter; toss lightly.
  4. Spoon apple mixture into pastry lined pie plate; dot with butter.
  5. Top with remaining pastry; fold top of pastry under bottom pastry.
  6. Flute edge; cut slits in several places.
  7. Bake at 400 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden.
  8. Place pan on foil or cookie sheet during baking to guard against spilling.
  9. TIP: Cover edge of crust with foil during last 10-15 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning.
