Ingredients

  • - pastry for 9 inch 2 crust pie
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups seedless red grapes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup raspberry preserves
  • 2 tablespoons quick cooking tapioca
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter

How To Make grape apple berry pie

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Prepare pie crust.
  • Step 3
    In large bowl, combine all ingredients, except butter; toss lightly.
  • Step 4
    Spoon apple mixture into pastry lined pie plate; dot with butter.
  • Step 5
    Top with remaining pastry; fold top of pastry under bottom pastry.
  • Step 6
    Flute edge; cut slits in several places.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 400 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden.
  • Step 8
    Place pan on foil or cookie sheet during baking to guard against spilling.
  • Step 9
    TIP: Cover edge of crust with foil during last 10-15 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browning.
