- 1 - deep dish pie crust
- 30 oz cans pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
- 6 - large eggs (can substitute 4 whole eggs and 3 egg whites)
- 6 tablespoons butter (no substitution)
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar (can substitute splenda)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Step 1Place pumpkin, butter, sugar and spices in a high-walled pot or skillet. Cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.

Step 2Remove pumpkin to a large mixing bowl. Mix in the beaten eggs and flour until smooth.

Step 3While still hot, pour into a deep-dish pie plate lined with a flour crust.
