This is my grandmother's recipe. She was Italian, but she could still make a mean Pumpkin Pie.

Makes 2 Pies
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- dash ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 tablespoons molasses
- 3 cups mashed, cooked pumpkin or pumpkin puree
- 4 - eggs, beaten
- 2 cups light cream or milk
- 2 - 9 inch pastry shells, unbaked
How To Make grandma virginia's pumpkin pie

Step 1Mix all ingredients together. Divide between the two unbaked pastry shells.

Step 2Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 50 minutes or longer until set. Makes two pies.
