This recipe is so old took us years to figure out how to make it with Margarine instead of Oleo as the original recipe called for. Family favorite, have to make for every holiday!

Ingredients

  • 2 - refrigerated pie crusts (not deep dish)
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 - eggs beaten
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups pecans, halved
  • 2 sticks plus 3 tablespoons margarine (real butter dosent work)
  • 9 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 - 8 oz tub of whipped topping

How To Make grandma patsy's chocolate pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Melt margarine, stove top, whisk in cocoa, sugar,beaten eggs, and vanilla. Stir about 2-3 minutes. Until well blended and sugar melted. Pour into to both unbaked pie crusts, add 1 cup pecans to each pie. Stir in. bake 45- 55 minutes until ingredients pufs up and starts to crack. place on cooling rack. serve with whipped topping and enjoy! Wow your gonna love this!
