This was one of my grandmother's favorite pies she made it a warm summer day and served it with vanilla ice cream unfortunately I don't know how to make vanilla ice cream and I don't have an ice cream maker. So Cool Whip or whipped cream is what I use. Enjoy

    pie shell, baked
  • 3 Tbsp
    corn starch ( heaping)
  • 3 lg
    egg yolk
  • 1 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 3 c
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp

How To Make grandma frances easy butterscotch pie

    Add all ingredients into a large saucepan.

    Mixwell. Put on low 2 medium Heat and using a whisk whisk until thick.

    Remove from Heat add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stirring into hot pudding.

    Cover with film and cool. When cool add to pie shell. Top with whipped cream and enjoy.
