I recently receive this recipe from Melissa part of a recipe exchange. It sounded so wonderful I thought it would be a great p recipe to share with all The JAP members!

Makes 8 servings
Ingredients
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 20 - caramels, unwrapped
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 - egg beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter melted
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
How To Make gooey pie

Step 1Preheat oven to 335 degrees.

Step 2In 9 inch pie shell, sprinkle chopped pecans in bottom of pie shell

Step 3Put 2/3 of the sweetened condensed milk and the caramels in a saucepan over medium low heat and stir constantly until melted and smooth.

Step 4Spoon the mixture over the nuts, in pie crust.

Step 5Beat the remaining milk butter and beaten egg in a electric mixer on medium for about 1 minute. Stir in chocolate chip and pour over caramel mixture in pie pan.

Step 6Bake 35 minutes or until or until center is set and a knife inserted in the pie comes out clean.
