This pie is super delicious. It taste as good as K&W or other cafeteria pies. I hope you will try this it is a family favorite and I make it especially on holidays and at christmas time and special family dinners. Thank you.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons cake flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 3 - eggs, beaten
  • 1 can 12 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1 ounce chopped pecans
  • 2 ounces shredded coconut
  • 1 - 9 inch unbaked pie shell

How To Make german chocolate pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Whip Sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, flour, vanilla extract, salt, and hot water until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Stir in eggs, and milk(can milk)
  • Step 4
    Mix well and pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • Step 5
    Top with pecans and coconut.
  • Step 6
    Bake 50 to 60 minutes (center will be a little fudgy).
  • Step 7
    Cool before cutting
