This pie is super delicious. It taste as good as K&W or other cafeteria pies. I hope you will try this it is a family favorite and I make it especially on holidays and at christmas time and special family dinners. Thank you.

  • 2 Tbsp
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 3 Tbsp
    cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 3 Tbsp
    hot water
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 can(s)
    12 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1 oz
    chopped pecans
  • 2 oz
    shredded coconut
  • 1
    9 inch unbaked pie shell

How to Make German Chocolate Pie


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Whip Sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, flour, vanilla extract, salt, and hot water until smooth.
  3. Stir in eggs, and milk(can milk)
  4. Mix well and pour into unbaked pie shell.
  5. Top with pecans and coconut.
  6. Bake 50 to 60 minutes (center will be a little fudgy).
  7. Cool before cutting
