german chocolate pie
I made a master copy of a Head Start recipe book for a fundraiser for the local Head Start program, and this one came from a neighbor up the street. Her son made this pie with his Grandma Marie (her mom) and was so excited to share it with me! A big thanks to Jeffrey K!

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- pinch salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 - eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons margarine
- 3/4 cup coconut
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup chopped nuts
- - 9" unbaked pie crust
How To Make german chocolate pie

Step 1Combine 1st 5 ingredients in mixing bowl. Mix well, add remaining ingredients and pour into pie shell. Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees or until set.
