This is a great chocolately spin on pecan pie - I think everyone will really like it!

Ingredients

  • 2 - squares of unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 - eggs
  • 3/4 cup dark karo syrup
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • CRUST
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup +1 tbsp.butter flavored crisco
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

How To Make fudgy-brownie pecan pie

  • Step 1
    Blend flour, salt, Crisco with pastry cutter or fork into a mealy consistency. Add water, mix with a fork and mold into a patty. Refrigerate for about 1/2 hour.
  • Step 2
    Roll into a circle and form into your pie dish. (I spray with no-stick first) Fold under and decorate your edge.
  • Step 3
    Beat the eggs, add remainder of ingredients. Mix well and stir in nuts. Pour into pie crust and bake at 375 for approx. 45-50 minutes or until set. Cool before cutting.
