Fudge Satin Pie From Hemingway's In Corona Del Mar Recipe

Another one from my old recipes.

1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup ground toasted almonds
powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
4 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 t. coffee liqueur
1 pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces, melted
1 1/2 lb. unsalted butter, softened
2 cups whipping cream
2 tbsp. powdered coffee


1Mix crumbs, almonds, 1/3 cup powdered sugar and melted butter. Press into
10" glass pie pan. Chill.
2Beat eggs with mixer and add sugar. Beat until
light and custardy. Add vanilla and coffee liqueur. Mix well. Add melted
chocolate. Continue beating and add unsalted butter, a little at a time
until smooth and satiny.
3Turn into prepared crust and chill until set. Whip
cream with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and powdered coffee. Pipe through pastry
tube onto pie using rose tip. Chill. Serves 8
Note: This recipe contains uncooked eggs.
