This homemade fudge pie has a dense, rich moist filling. I found it on Pintrest. It would be wonderful served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients
- - for the crust
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, unsalted cold cut into cubes
- 2-4 tablespoons water, cold
- - for the filling
- 1 cup half and half
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
How To Make fudge pie

Step 1For the crust, mix together flour sugar and salt.

Step 2Add cubes of cold butter and mix with a fork until it starts to look like coarse meal.

Step 3Add water one tablespoon at a time until dough forms ball.

Step 4wrap in plastic wrap and place in fridge for two hours

Step 5preheat oven to 350*

Step 6after dough has chilled , roll out on a lightly floured work surface to about 1/8 inch.

Step 7transfer to pie plate and crimp the edges.

Step 8In a bowl mix together sugar, cocoa powder and salt. set aside

Step 9In a sauce pan combine half and half, butter and chocolate over med to med low heat until smooth. Set aside to cool

Step 10Let it cool slightly before pouring it over the dry ingredient and eggs. Stir well to combine

Step 11pour into the pie crust and bake 40-45 minutes. The center will be set and the sides should be just starting to crack a little

Step 12Cool at least 30-40 minutes before serving.
