Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- pinch salt
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 3 - fresh peaches, peeled adn diced fine
- 2 tubes refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup oil
How To Make fried peach pies, mom's

Step 1Mix cornstarch, sugar, salt and water in a small saucepan until thoroughly dissolved. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thick and clear. Add peaches and flavoring, then reserve. Roll out each biscuit very thin on lightly floured surface. Let rise about 10 min then roll thin again. Spread peach filling over half of each biscuit, fold dough over and seal edges by pressing and crimping with a fork. Heat oil to 360 degrees and fry pies to desired color, turning only once. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
