Ingredients

  • 3 - egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 8 large peaches, sprinkle with lemon juice
  • 1 cup powered sugar
  • 2 - 9 inch baked pie shells
  • 1 pint sweetend whipped cream

How To Make fresh peach pie

  • Step 1
    With electric mixer beat eggs yolks and sugar until lemon colored. Add cornstarch, salt, vanilla. Add milk a little at a time until blended. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Add 1/2 stick of butter and let cool. Toss peaches with powered sugar. Spread 1/2 of the custard in the bottom of each pie crust. Top with peaches and whip cream.

    Note: I use the custard in one pie and 4 large peaches.
