Another of Ma's recipes from her recipe file found in NC in 2019. I love a good strawberry pie!

Ingredients

  • 1 quart strawberries, see directions
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 pie crust, baked

How To Make french glaze strawberry pie, ma

  • Step 1
    Strawberries: mash 1 1/2 cup berries with juice, cook to a boil. Add 1 c sugar and 3 T cornstarch, bring to boil. Line pie crust with uncooked berries.
  • Step 2
    That was all she wrote, however, you would usually put the juice mixture over the berries in the pie and then chill completely before putting into the fridge.
  • Step 3
    I found the same recipe in Barb's recipe box, with more directions: Cover cooked pie shell with fresh berries. Pour in cooked mixture. Refrigerate.
