How to Make Flan
- Sprinkle sugar evenly in a heavy saucepan; place over medium heat. Cook stirring constantly until sugar melts and syrup is a light golden brown. Pour hot sugar mixture into a 9-inch glass pie plate, tilting to coat the bottom; set aside.
- Combine remaining ingredients in container of an electric blender; process at high speed for 10 seconds. Pour the mixture into pie plate and place in a 14x11x2 inch pan. Pour 1 inch of hot water into the larger dish.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean.
- Refrigerate over night.
- Loosen edges with a spatula; quickly invert flan onto a serving plate.
