A dear friend of mine gave me this recipe about 20 years ago. It makes a delicious flan, and it's super easy!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 - eggs
- 3 - egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
How To Make flan

Step 1Sprinkle sugar evenly in a heavy saucepan; place over medium heat. Cook stirring constantly until sugar melts and syrup is a light golden brown. Pour hot sugar mixture into a 9-inch glass pie plate, tilting to coat the bottom; set aside.

Step 2Combine remaining ingredients in container of an electric blender; process at high speed for 10 seconds. Pour the mixture into pie plate and place in a 14x11x2 inch pan. Pour 1 inch of hot water into the larger dish.

Step 3Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes or until knife inserted into center comes out clean.

Step 4Refrigerate over night.

Step 5Loosen edges with a spatula; quickly invert flan onto a serving plate.
