This is close to being a no fail pie crust.

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons butter in pats
  • 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour (in weight 6.5 ounces)
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 ounces cream cheese in large cubes
  • 4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar

How To Make flakey cream cheese pie crust

  • Step 1
    Mix flour, salt, and baking powder to blend. Cut in cream cheese till it is size of peas. Cut in butter till it is the size of butterbeans. Add vinegar and toss it around. Now add the cream starting with 2 tablespoons, then add the rest 1 tablespoon at a time. Press dough into a ball. Flatten into a disc and wrap, refrigerate at least 1 hour before rolling.

    This comes together quite quickly in the food processor.
