I've had this recipe for awhile; don't remember where I got it~pretty easy to make and absolutely delicious! Extra decadent served with ice cream!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 4 - large cooking apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- - heavy cream or half and half (optional)
How To Make english apple pie

Step 1In medium-size bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with wooden spoon or electric mixer until pale and fluffy. Stir in flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, and the water until smooth and thick (use more water if necessary). Stir in pecans.

Step 2Mound apples in 9 inch pie plate. Mix granulated sugar with remaining 1 tsp cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.

Step 3Spoon pecan topping over apples in dollops. Bake on lowest rack of preheated 375 degree oven, 45 to 50 minutes until apples are tender when pierced with a skewer. Serve in bowls with cream. Makes 8 servings.
