How to Make Easy Apple Crisp

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Peel, core and thinly slice the apples. In a large pan, toss the apples with the brown sugar, corn syrup and lemon juice. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes, until apples are softened. Spoon apples into a lightly greased 9-inch pie plate and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, mixing together with a fork until crumbly. Spread evenly on top of apples. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is crisp and golden brown.
  3. Serve with vanilla ice cream of whipping cream. It can be served hot or cold. You may substitute fresh apples with other fruits such as peaches, apricot, cherries, or use canned apple pir filling.
