Ingredients

  • 1 - 9" graham pie crust
  • 8 - granny smith apples
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1-1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tblspn flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

How To Make dutch apple pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees farenheit
  • Step 2
    Core, peel and slice apples thin (thick slices will take too long to cook.) Place apples and lemon juice in a bowl, mix well.
  • Step 3
    Mix brown sugar, white sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Mix in chopped pecans.
  • Step 4
    Add half the mixture to the apples and mix to coat. Place apple mixture into crust.
  • Step 5
    Evenly sprinkle the other half of the crumb mixture on top.
  • Step 6
    Put foil around crust. Bake at 375 degrees farenheit for 40 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes.
