9" graham pie crust

granny smith apples
4 Tbsp
lemon juice
1-1/4 c
brown sugar
1/3 c
white sugar
1 tsp
nutmeg
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 c
butter
1/2 c
+ 2 tblspn flour
1/2 c
chopped pecans

How to Make Dutch Apple Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees farenheit
  • 2Core, peel and slice apples thin (thick slices will take too long to cook.) Place apples and lemon juice in a bowl, mix well.
  • 3Mix brown sugar, white sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in butter with pastry blender. Mix in chopped pecans.
  • 4Add half the mixture to the apples and mix to coat. Place apple mixture into crust.
  • 5Evenly sprinkle the other half of the crumb mixture on top.
  • 6Put foil around crust. Bake at 375 degrees farenheit for 40 minutes.
  • 7Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes.
