This recipe makes a nice, thick pie filling. I personally used 2 Golden Delicious apples, and 2 Honeycrisp apples. They paired together nicely. This is a great dessert to serve for the holidays. I baked this pie for some friends last night, who said it was the best apple pie they ever had. Which is always nice to hear :)
