How to Make Double Apple Apple Pie
- 1Preheat oven to 375. Slice the tops off of 5 apples, making sure to choose ones that stand straight on their own. Using either a knife and spoon, or a melon baller, scoop out the insides of the apples, being careful to not pierce the skin of the apple.
Depending on the amount of apple you were able to save to reuse, you will need an additional 1 or 2 apples for the filling. I was able to save most of it and only needed about 1/2 an apple additionally. Peel additional apple(s) and slice very thin, along with any large chunks from the part scooped out.
