This recipe is perfect. Pie comes out nice and firm every time.

Ingredients

3 - eggs
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup karo or any thick syrup
1 cup pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 stick butter
1 - 9 inch pie shell

How To Make donna's pecan pie

Step 1

While butter is melting in microwave in a small bowl, mix sugar, eggs and syrup & vanilla in a medium size bowl till blended.

Step 2

Take butter from microwave and add to the pie mixture making sure butter is cooled before mixing.
Step 3

Pour into 9 inch pie shell 350 degrees for 5 minutes then turn the oven down to 300 degrees for 50 minutes to finish baking. Cool and serve. Delicious with whipped cream on top or vanilla ice cream.
