Ingredients
- 1 - pastry for 2 pie crusts
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 cups tart apples, diced
- 4 - canned pear halves cut in pieces
- 2 tablespoons rum
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make deluxe apple pie

Step 1Line 9 inch pie pan with pastry; refrigerate until used.

Step 2Mix sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon; add to apples and mix thoroughly.

Step 3Set aside.

Step 4Crush pears and spread in bottom of pastry-lined pan; sprinkle with rum.

Step 5Heap apple mixture over pears; dot with butter.

Step 6Put on top crust; seal and crimp edges; cut slits for steam to escape.

Step 7Bake at 400 for 45 minutes or until apples are tender.

Step 8Serve warm.
