delicious brownie pie

My love of brownies is only rivaled by my love for chocolate pie. I found this recipe many years ago and fell in love with it. As you can tell, I love everything chocolate. This recipe reminds me of a double-fudge pie I used to buy at HEB. Internet pictures for illustration only.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/2 cup baking mix (bisquick or pioneer)
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 - 9-inch pie shell, unbaked
  • POSSIBLE GARNISHES:
  • - whipped cream, sweetened
  • - ice cream
  • - hot fudge sauce
  • - caremel sauce

How To Make delicious brownie pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 375 F. Bake the pie shell for about 10 mminutes; remove from oven. Reduce oven heat to 325 F.
  • Step 2
    In a saucepan, over low heat, melt butter and chocolate chips.
  • Step 3
    In a medium bowl, beat the chocolate mixture wth the sweetened condensed milk, baking mix, eggs and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
  • Step 4
    Add the nuts and stir well. Pour into pie shell and bake for 35 - 40 minutes, until center is set.
  • Step 5
    Garnish with whipped cream, hot fudge, carmel sauce or a scoop if ice cream....simply delicious.
