How to Make Dad's Chocolate Pie
- Combine the sugar, cornstarch and salt in a medium saucepan.
- Stir in the milk, cocoa powder and the (melted) butter. Blend well. Then add the egg yolks and vanilla.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and pour into a cooked crust.
- Cover with meringue and brown in a preheated oven of 350 degrees. Cool on a rack until ready to be served.
