Ingredients For daddy's pumpkin cheese pie

  • BUTTER PASTRY
  • 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 lg
    egg yolk
  • RUB MIXTURE UNTIL EVEN TEXTURED. STIR IN 1 EGG YOLK UNTIL BLENDED.. THEN WORK WITH HANDS UNTIL SMOOTH BALL. PRESS DOUGH EVENLY OVER BOTTOM AND 1/2 IN. UP THE SIDES OF 10 INCH PIE PLATE. BAKE AT 350* FOR 30 MINUTES
  • FILLING:
  • 8 OZ pkg
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    cloves
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 can
    pumpkin (16oz)

How To Make daddy's pumpkin cheese pie

  • 1
    beat cream cheese with sugar and spices till smooth. Blend in eggs, then add the pumpkin and mix well.

    pour into 10 inch pastry shell and Bake at 325* for 35 minutes. remove from oven and spread with sour cream topping over filling. Bake to minutes more

    Cool. then cover and chill. garnish with pecan halves around the edge of top of pie.
