cream cheese pie with sour cream topping
My mom used to make this recipe in the 60's everytime she had company. It was one of her most requested recipes. It is so delicious, and easy to make, that I always make 2 of them when I have my family over for Christmas Dinner. There are never any leftovers!

Ingredients
- 12 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 - prepared graham cracker pie crust, or homemade pie crust
- FOR TOPPING
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 3 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- PRE HEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES

Step 1Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2gather your ingredients.

Step 3place all pie ingredients into a mixing bowl.

Step 4beat ingredients with a hand mixer until light and fluffy.

Step 5Pour into prepared pie crust. (you can make your own crust by mixing 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 6 tablespoons butter, softened, and 1/3 cup sugar. Press mixture in a 9" pie plate, and continue with recipe)

Step 6Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove to wire rack and cool for 15 minutes.

Step 7Meanwhile, mix topping ingredients, pour over pie, and bake in oven for 10 more minutes.

Step 8Chill 5 hours, or overnight. Enjoy
