I got this recipe out of a cookbook I sent for many years ago.I have made it a few times through the years and family and friends seem to like it.

Ingredients

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 - egg
2/3 cup white shortening
3/4 cup water
1 can apple pie filling
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon apple pie spices

How To Make crazy crust apple pie

Step 1

Combine flour,baking powder,salt,sugar,egg,shortening and water and beat until smooth.

Step 2

Pour batter into a 9 inch pie plate.
Step 3

In separate bowl,mix the pie filling,lemon juice and spices.
Step 4

Mound filling in center of pie plate.Do not mix.
Step 5

Bake in 425 degree oven for 40 min.
