I got this recipe out of a cookbook I sent for many years ago.I have made it a few times through the years and family and friends seem to like it.

  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1
  • 2/3 c
    white shortening
  • 3/4 c
  • 1 can(s)
    apple pie filling
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    apple pie spices

How to Make Crazy Crust Apple Pie


  1. Combine flour,baking powder,salt,sugar,egg,shortening and water and beat until smooth.
  2. Pour batter into a 9 inch pie plate.
  3. In separate bowl,mix the pie filling,lemon juice and spices.
  4. Mound filling in center of pie plate.Do not mix.
  5. Bake in 425 degree oven for 40 min.
