coconut custard pie
I tried for years to make a coconut pie like my grandma used to. This recipe pretty much nails it. my husband and other coconut lovers in the family love this! I use to make my own crust also, but have been very pleased with how easy it is to buy the ones you just have to roll into your pie plate!

Ingredients
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons plain flour
- 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 - refrigerated pie crust
- 1 - 9" deep dish pie plate

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees place pie crust into pie plate set aside

Step 2In large bowl, beat eggs add all the other ingredients mix well pour into pie crust

Step 3place in oven bake at 325 degrees for 55 minutes, or until center is set
