Ingredients

  • 1 - unbaked deep dish pie crust
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 3 - eggs, beaten
  • 2 2/3 cups 2% milk
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

How To Make coconut custard pie

  • Step 1
    Line edges of pie shell with heavy-duty foil and bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Remove foil and sprinkle coconut over bottom of shell. Lower oven temperature to 350.
  • Step 3
    Combine eggs, milk, sugar, flour, vanilla and salt. Pour over coconut and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until it's set in the middle.
