How to Make Coconut Custard Pie
- Line edges of pie shell with heavy-duty foil and bake at 450 degrees for 8 minutes.
- Remove foil and sprinkle coconut over bottom of shell. Lower oven temperature to 350.
- Combine eggs, milk, sugar, flour, vanilla and salt. Pour over coconut and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until it's set in the middle.
