Ingredients
- 3 - egg yolks, beaten
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup sugar
- - coconut, flaked as much as wanted
- 1/2 stick butter, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 - baked pie shell
How To Make coconut cream pie

Step 1Slightly beat egg yolks. Add milk, flour and sugar. Mix well, heat on medium heat stirring constantly until thick. Remove from heat, add coconut, butter and vanilla mix well. Pour filling into baked pie shell.

Step 2Beat egg whites with a pinch of cream of tartar beat until stiff peaks form, add 3 tablespoons of sugar and beat a few minutes more. Spread on filling and bake until brown.
