This pie can be made with or without the coconut. It's great either way! My mother used to make this pie, and our entire family greatly enjoyed it. I hope you do, too.

    egg yolks
  • 1
    whole egg
  • 2 c
    white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 c
    flaked coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 c
    sweet milk

How To Make coconut chess pie

    In medium bowl, beat egg yolks and egg together.

    Add remaining ingredients in with egg mixture. Mix together thoroughly.

    Pour into uncooked pie shell.

    Bake in 350-degree preheated oven until set and browned, about 1 hour.
