classic karo pecan pie
This is an old recipe, think it was on the label of a Karo syrup bottle. My nephew, Ricky, wanted pecan pie for his birthday instead of a cake.

Ingredients
- 1 cup karo light corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 - eggs, beaten
- 1 - frozen pie crust
How To Make classic karo pecan pie

Step 1Cream the sugar and the butter. Beat the eggs in by hand.

Step 2Add syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.

Step 3Pour into pie crust. Bake for 20 minutes in preheated 425 degree oven. Reduce heat to 325 and bake until pie is firm, about 40 minutes.
