My children and granchildren love this pie. When they come up on Sunday's I make it before church and serve it. This is a favorite and easy to make. I found it one day surfing the Internet. So rich and good! Infact, I was going to take a picture of it and it was all gone before I got the picture!!

Ingredients

  • 1 - unbaked single crust pie crust
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 - eggs
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch salt

How To Make chocolate silk pie

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large, microwavable bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter at 50% power for 2 minutes until butter is melted; stir until smoooth, Whisk in salt, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, evaporated milk, and vanilla whisk until well blended. Pour chocolate mixture into crust.
  • Step 2
    Bake 30 minutes or until filling has puffed, but center still wiggles. Cool completely. Refrigerated until ready to serve.
  • Step 3
    Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired. This is so good.
