My children and granchildren love this pie. When they come up on Sunday's I make it before church and serve it. This is a favorite and easy to make. I found it one day surfing the Internet. So rich and good! Infact, I was going to take a picture of it and it was all gone before I got the picture!!

Ingredients

unbaked single crust pie crust
1 c
semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c
(1 stick) butter
1 c
sugar
1 tsp
unsweetened cocoa powder
3
eggs
2/3 c
evaporated milk
1 tsp
vanilla
pinch
salt

How to Make Chocolate Silk Pie

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    In large, microwavable bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter at 50% power for 2 minutes until butter is melted; stir until smoooth, Whisk in salt, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, evaporated milk, and vanilla whisk until well blended. Pour chocolate mixture into crust.
  • 2Bake 30 minutes or until filling has puffed, but center still wiggles. Cool completely. Refrigerated until ready to serve.
  • 3Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings if desired. This is so good.
