Ingredients
- FILLING
- 1 can sauerkraut, rinsed thoroughly
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup half and half
- 3 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanillla
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1/2 tablespoons special dark cocoa powder
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice, ground
- TOPPING
- 2 tablespoons demerara sugar
- - holiday sprinkles, optional
- CRUST
- 1 - cinnamon coconut pie crust
How To Make chocolate sauerkraut dessert pie

Step 1Mix all filling ingredients in a mixing bowl, mixing completely. Set aside.

Step 3Pour in filling. Sprinkle toppings.

Step 4Place in oven at 350F for 30-40 minutes, or until the center is set.

Step 5Refrigerate for 3 hours-overnight.
